Privacy Policy for VoicePay

Last updated: August 16, 2026

VoicePay ("the App", "we", "us") is a voice announcement app for UPI payment notifications, built for shopkeepers and small businesses in India. This policy explains what data the App accesses, how it is used, and your choices.

1. Data We Access

Notification Content (Notification Access Permission)
VoicePay uses Android's Notification Listener permission to read notifications from supported payment apps (PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm, BHIM, CRED, MobiKwik, and similar UPI apps) in order to detect incoming payment amounts and announce them by voice.

Payment/Transaction History
Detected payment amounts and timestamps are stored locally on your device (and, if you are signed in, synced to your account via Supabase) so you can view your payment history within the app.

Account Information
If you create an account or sign in (via Google Sign-In), we collect your email address and basic profile information to authenticate you and sync your settings/history across devices.

Camera
Used only if you choose to set a profile picture using "Take Photo." We do not access the camera at any other time.

Bluetooth
Used only to detect which Bluetooth speaker is currently connected, so the app can route voice announcements correctly. We do not use Bluetooth to identify or track your device or location.

2. How We Use Your Data

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your data to third parties.

3. Data Sharing

We do not share your notification content, payment history, or personal information with third parties, except:

4. Data Storage & Security

5. Your Choices

6. Children's Privacy

VoicePay is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 18.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
